Those w/ D.I.Y. Intercoolers???

I've been contemplating this for well over a year now...and I recently did a new search on Ebay and came up w/ some new DIY kits that appear to have the piping already fabbed up for a mustang:

...did any of you guys buy this particular kit...and if not...how much actual fab work should I expect if I tackle this on my own...I don't plan on cutting my bumper, and I really don't want to cut any sheetmetal if possible...and I really didn't want to cut any of the piping, but I could always have someone else do that for me I guess

any information would be greatly appreciated :nice:

Looks like a decent kit, but you will have to trim the pipes to fit. You will also have to cut a hole in your fender for the pipe from the throttle body to go down into the intercooler. If you dont want to cut at all, I beleive paxton makes a FMIC kit, but its 1600 bux.

Use a hole saw bit for a drill. It looks way cleaner and it only took 2 min to do. I used an air grinder to smooth the edges, and it turned out very well. The metal is pretty thick stuff, but it can be cut fairly easy with the right tools.

To cut the pipe a band saw would work the best. You could also use a hacksaw, cutoff wheel, jigsaw, etc. I have a handheld bandsaw :)
