why would you want a drag radial on the front?

I don't know. Guess I'm a dumbass when it comes to tires...

I was trying to keep the tread patterns the same. Should I go with 555s on the front and 555Rs on the rear? If that's the case, the 255/40-17s look nice. Not too wide and about the same sidewall.

no, no, no, no, no.. If you are going to run the 555R's in the rear then the choice is 555's in the front. Drag radials arn't meant for front wheel tires, much softer tires. 255 or 265 in the fronts will be what you want for sure. As far as the tread pattern the only tread pattern I ever look at is the rear from behind. I think I might try to find some NT05's vs the 555's though personally.

The 275/40 will look the best up front. I had 245's on my 9" wheel at first and it looked horrible. When I went with the 275's up front, it made the car look so much better.

I hate the white top but it doesn't stay up when the weather is nice. The interior is BLACK black. And leather.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm going to go with the 275s up front. I'll be ordering them on 4-15 and the rears on 5-15. I should be on the new rubber by June and then to the track I go. I'm also going to finally get the car tuned.

The 555s and 555Rs have the same tread pattern, except the 555Rs have a few less tread. They definitely look good together. I run them together for track use.

Also, it seems you've decided to go with 275s up front, but I'll say it anyway. Don't go with 255s on a 9 inch wheel. 275s look WAY better. I have 255/40-17s all the way around on 17x9 Cobra Rs on my car; my granddad has 275/40-17s all the way around on 17x9 Cobra Rs on his GT. There is no comparison. My tires are almost worn out, and I will definitely be going with the 275s when I get new tires.

Good to know. Looks like Tire Rack doesn't sell them. I'm stuck with Discount Tire. But it looks like I might be able to get all four by April 15th cause turns out the State owes me some money... It was never really winter around here and I'm running around with my winter tires on still...
