Those who've installed your own cams...how long did it take?

As copied from my writeup on the stg1 cam install because I couldnt remember lol.

TIME STARTED WAS ABOUT 3:30 PM, FINISHED AT AROUND 12AM.

So around 8.5 hours...our first time ever tearing into a modular 2V. Actually our first time tearing into ANY OHC motor...we were used to OHV motors, but these OHC motors are very easy to work on.

i'm hoping that they are easy to work on. only thing i've ever built was the 350 in my truck, and that was pretty easy.

from the looks of things, changing cams should be pretty easy on here

those times include valve springs?

I was wondering the same. i want to know what the best tool is for removing the springs. I have a cheap little spring compresser from Advance Auto that i used on a 5.0, im doing more reaserch to see if i can use that tool on my modular.
