They aren't supposed to whine... I've got a friend with 4.30s and they're quiet at all speeds. Did you pay to have them installed or do it yourself?

If you're talking about the eta, that was the run right before I broke my axle..still running 4.10's at that time. Can't wait to get back to the track now!!!!

My 4.30's are going in w/ aluminum driveshaft, safety loop, 31 spline Moser axles, 31 spline Ford trac-lok, and I also have a Cobra R power steering pulley and iridium plugs to go in. Naturally since I have an auto, Im either going to use a programmer or a dyno tune to fix the speedo and shift points. Hopefully with slicks I'll break 12's. Im going to give it all I got Captain lol.

I'm right off 190 and Preston...I still have my 4.10's if you want to take a look at em and maybe save some $$$. FRPP's with about 2K miles on em...Honestly, I think you would like the 4.30's much more than the 4.10's....I know I do!!!

I already have my gears, but thanks anyway. I think I will be fine with the 4.10's
its more of a street than strip car.

I will deff keep you posted! Did you notice any difference in the way the car drives with the 31 spline setup? Also what is proper brake in?

My FRPP 4.30's
31 spline moser axles
31 spline trac lok

Will be installed in the morning on my mach.. They say to run the new gears easy for 20 miles or so then stop the car and let the gears cool completly. Then drive easy for 200 miles.

I'm going to drive home (about 12 miles) let it cool for a bit, then drive 40 miles to the track and beat the hell out of it with my new draglites and BFG dr's...

Can't say that I really noticed a difference in feel with the 31's....as far as a break in??? I pretty much just took it easy on them for the first 40-60 miles before the fun began!
