Those with Vortech and no A/C... I need pictures

My mustang isn't going to be my daily driver anymore so I'm going to ditch the A/C. I never use it anyway even though it's fully functional. The only thing is that I want to see how the engine bay looks lacking the a/c compressor and lines. I'd also like to see some of the delete pullies you guys have and how they look. From what I've read, with a Vortech supercharger, there's no way to get rid of the a/c unless you use a delete pulley. Thanks

When I was putting a vortech on my car I had a fms a/c delete kit. The belt would not work due to the way the tensioner mounts. It would make the belt hit the water pump pulley. I did some research how to fix it, but I never tried because I pulled the blower off and sold it just before I finished the install. I would have needed a cobra water pump pulley (smaller) and a larger power steering pulley to make it work.

Yeah.. I think I might just remove all the lines and the condensor and leave the compressor in its spot. I mainly just want the cleaner look of not having the a/c lines all over the place.

i believe they make a/c delete kits that are just pulleys that go in the place of the compressor... try finding something like that... it would look a lot better and take of some of the weight under the hood

They look like crap. They leave the huge a/c bracket in place and put a huge billet bracket and pulley in the a/c compressors' place. It's just looks very tacky. I'd get the FMS kit and the pullies needed. It would look much better.

i've seen people that buy a kit that moves the power steering to the where the ac bracket would be. what kit is that? i'm inteested but i don't know which one that is.
Does anyone know?

Thats what I used before I put on the blower,its just 2 brackets and the power steering pump moves up to where the ac was,then I put the blower on and had to go with the ac delete w/ pully and that didnt last long,put the ac compressor back in. I know summit carrys the 2 bracket style.

Here's how I did one

There are other ways to do it depending on your exact set-up.

The kit that moves the AC up is the FMS kit

That looks good rick. I'll look into trying to fab something up like that. I've looked into the FMS kit and have noticed that people have issues with the tensioner pulley and the water pump pulley making contact.

Its very simple to do actually, I done mine without any problems at all. I do have a 93 Cobra WP Pulley though to clear my 8" crank, but I didnt buy a new P/S Pulley like some say. Just done the little tensioner mod and it worked out great.

The hole in the plate where the tensioner goes needs to be redrilled and youll be fine.

What kit did you use? do u have the part number? that kit simply moved your power steering to where the ac compressor was located, right?

9T3SVT, hit the nail right on the head. I dont know if the tensioner mod will work if you have a stock size waterpump pulley.

I do have the 93 cobra wp pulley to clear my 8" crank pulley as well, so hopefully I won't run into any issues with clearance.

Local Ford dealer is where I got mine, its expensive though...like $33. 50resto sells it, but the Ford dealer can have it overnight for you so you dont get charged shipping or really have to wait.
