I see a lot of people talking about the alphabet cams and all kinds of others but what about this cam:

http://www.holley.com/51026LUN.asp

This cam was designed by Lunati for Holley for use in the original SysteMax 5.0 kit. It is 50 state legal and works in the lower RPM range. Since I will be sending my lower to TMoss in a couple of weeks I should be able to take advantage of this cam. Holley states that the cam is good for the 2000 to 5000 range with a recommended shift of 5200 RPM using the factory upper intake and heads. http://www.sacramento-mustang.com/cc/cc_holley300505.htm

I will also be getting their spring and retainer kit that is matched to this cam.

Any thoughts on this cam?

are you planning on upgrading the heads and the intake???.

not sure if its the same but my friend has some lunati camshaft, i cant remember his specs but sounds similar to that one. It sounds mean and pulls great. Lost a little low end, but thats expected with a cam swap.

A cam like every other part of the combo should be selected based on the other supporting components. heads/intake/gears/tranny..etc are all factors, you need to pick a cam that makes power where the heads and intake make power. You want all the components to start coming together at the same part of the power band and finish the same as well. If your really looking to find the magic bump stick...call FTI and have one put together for your parts, you can't go wrong with that.

I am sending my lower to TMoss in a couple of weeks. The heads will remain the same for now.

I am familiar with Ed, Buddy and Jay. If this cam will work well with my current combo as listed above and in my sig then I'd like to use it.
