Thoughts on UPR clutch cable?

Why is that? Your former statement, not the latter; the latter is what I'm trying to do.

UPR does no in-house research. Everything the sell is a knock-off of other people's designs.

Case in point. I bought this vacuum tree from a guy on the Corral that thought it up, designed it and paid to have them made by a machine shop.

When he advertised it on Corral, his first sale, he found out after the fact, was to the wife of the owner of UPR. Six months later, they were selling exactly the same product and charging ten bucks less for it.

While certainly not illegal, that kind of crap is low and I won't do business with a company that has those kind of morals. I bought his next to last unit just because of that story, plus I think it looks nice.

That's the cable most folks here are talking about. No one goes to the dealership for their cable.
Over time the sources have changed. Last I heard, the cable was being made in Taiwan but the QC was still quite good.

The MM universal cable is 60 bucks or so last time I looked.

What's the deal wih the ford racing clutch kit then?

I bought this for 40 with the clutch fork and sold the fork for 10 bucks.

Is this an oem cable or just Chinese junk? Why is the mm cable 200 and this one 40 with a fork? Same piece or not?

So the consensus is that this cable is comparable to the OEM cable then? If so, is there any benefit to using this particular clutch fork as well? I'm swapping in a T-5z in a couple weeks anyway...
