Thread Sealant on Drain Plugs?

I am going to change out the fluid in the Tremec this week, do I need to put any type of thread sealant on the plugs when I put them back in?
It looks like the factory put some on there.

When I switched to Redline ATF I did not use thread sealant on the plugs. Haven't had a leak yet. If you are worried about it, I doubt that using thread sealant could hurt anything.

Just for safe measure I usually put some teflon tape on them.
