Previously posted in the 5.0 forum, but, thought it should go here too...

We now have three 5.0's in the family. I got my first Mustang (an 89 GT) in November 1988. It got some performance enhancements (heads/cam/intake/exhaust/gears/GW suspension) at the age of 10. It remained my daily driver until December 2008, when I bought an F150. When my 2nd son graduated high school in 2009, we got him an 89 GT as a graduation gift. Finished paying the truck off and I was visiting my mechanic who was doing an oil change on my son's wife's Fusion. He and my 1st son (who has had his eyes on MY 89 for more than a decade) started hammering me about getting a new Stang. On the way home, we stopped at a Ford dealer and I fell for a Race Red GT that has GT500 style black racing stripes. Well, long story short, 1st son bought my 89, and I drove home in a beautiful red/black 2013 GT. We're now a three-Stang family and most of the time, we look kinda like this...

First pic is "my" former 89 on the left and 2nd son's 89 on the right. The maroon one now belongs to our oldest son. The 2013 is my new ride...

2nd Son's 89 is pretty much all stock, with an auto trans. We've since replaced the headlights, since the blacked out ones were dangerous on the roads at night...

The 2013 is gonna remain stock at least until the warranty runs out, although a little more sound from the exhaust would be nice.

Awesome story. Though, I must say, I'm not a fan of the break in the stripes on the hood. The third picture kinda looks like a Charger with that break. Love your 5.0s and the fact that your son wanted your old 5.0 rather than a new one.

Congrats all around. I too am in a 3 Mustang family. The only hard part is deciding which one to take when we all go somewhere.
