throtle sticking HELP

So I went to monterey friday and just got back today on the way down there when i came to a stop my idle was at about 1300 and took a long time to settle down I didnt drive till saturday afternoon and i noticed that when the car is running the throttle sticks when i start to press the gas it takes alot of pressure and make a light pop but after i get it through the hard part it seems fine My manual doesnt have any answers and im loosing my mind because its making the car hard to drive HELP

My friend is going threw the SAME problem right as we speak.. Well what you can try, is spray the T/B with some break cleaner when the motor is Off and ON..

When its off your just trying to clean out the inside of the T/B (maybe its getting gummed up and just needs to be cleaned out alittle) then while the motor is running your checking for air leaks.. when and if you spray somewhere like the intake manifold or the T/B plemum area listen to see if the motor revs up, if so you have a leak somewhere..

Try that and see what happens, also check your MAF sensor and your intake system, I.E your air filter... then re-set your computer and disconnect the battery..

Sheesh, that was hard to read. Try moving the butterfly on the throttle body with the car off to see if there is any binding there. If not, check the throttle cable someplace between the foot and engine.

Have you ever cleaned your TB? If not, take it off and clean it either way .. it will only help and is probably your issue. If you are concerned about the so called "protective coating" on the TB, use 3M throttle body cleaner. Its safe and works excellent.

If its not that, then its the throttle cable getting caught up somewhere (as previously mentioned).

I have the same problem, only I have a new intake and I have already clean'd my S*** with seafoam and just reset the battery and pcm, still the same problem though

you need to adjust the idle set screw so that it doesnt close the blade all the way , it needs to stop the blade just before it sticks

no i havent yet. the tb set screw is fine like i said its only when the car is running with it off the pedal and tb moves freely
