Hey guys, i'm new to this ford thing. I recently bought a used tb - 70mm. My problem is that my idle is high due to the size of the hole in the throttle blade. It appears that someone previously drilled it oversize (why i dunno).
My question to you all is; where can find a plug for this hole?? I have tried everywhere with no luck, I know they exist but can't find 'em. Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.

I took the advice from a magazine on what hole size to drill, and did it. The idle was then around 1500 to 1800. So what I did was weld the hole and grind it flat and them drill another in a different spot. It was pretty stupid to drill big in the begining, but you learn from your mistakes. Anyway it hasn't given me a prob yet, and that was over a year ago. if it helps

1100,, this is definetly the cause. While trying to diag this i found; slight vacumm leak at pcv hose, tps sticking, and carboned iac passages. If I place tape over the hole I can bring the idle down... No vacuum leaks, idle screw is bottomed out, and Iac is properly functioning.

I thought of that, but feel weary of the longevity.. Have you had any problems.
I also thought of using lead and pounding it over the hole.. What's your feeling's on that..... Thanks for the reply

people do this because when running big cams some times if the idle drops it will stall. this could happen comeing to a complete stop,WOT or just idleing you could weld it back up and drill it back out to stock but i wouldnt cover it up as it has a hole stock for idle issue's anyway. GOOD LUCK!!

Thanx a lot guy's, I'm going to take it in to work and weld it first thing tomorrow morning. I'm thinking i'll just pop on one of the iac bypasses instead of drilling the hole. Thanx again!!!
