Demolet' stage 3 power package, comes with a Demolet intake, 75mm Professional Products Throttle body and a plenum for $460 shipped.

- Is the professional products t/b and plenum good?
- Should I just get their intake and buy another brand of t/b and plenum (accufab?), but this will cost me about $200-300 more, and would it really be worth it?
- I am able to purchase a 85mm Pro MAF (custom calibrated), again, is it worth getting this maf? John from demolet told me that there is a 5-7whp gain just with the MAF.

Thanks!

Yes. I own both and they are of really good quality. Are they worth the money.......No. I noticed little to no gain when I installed them. I agree with Stang|ess, that your money would be better spent on exhaust mods. Open up your exhaust, then get some cams, then open your intake. This is what I wish I had done.

Good luck :nice:

I have never even thought of buying an intake because I have read countless threads saying that they are not even close to worth the price of them. I guess the hp is minimal.

As for the brand of your t/b and plenum, the hp difference is only 1-3 hp. It comes down to overall quality and appearence. Or how materialistic you are.

Hmmm that sounds kinda familiar.
But really what are your plans with the car? Are you going to do cams? Blower? nitrous? stroker kit? Or just want to pick up a few ponies?
I'd suggest doing the exhaust first, then something that will make a REAL difference in power then the lil bolt-ons.

fwiw, the TFS (Trick Flow) plenum gives a little hp in the upper rpm, but also gives an annoying whistle. Was it worth it, I dunno.

As has been previously posted, air mods don't seem to do much, so don't spend a lot on them. There are better mods to spend your money on.

I've allready got LT's just need to install them, along with xpipes. Nothing huge planned since I autocross my car, and don't really need too much straighline speed.

I thought you had quite a bit of suspension mods :nice:

maybe 4.10s for a track car for better acceleration?

i know that most people say that a plenum and throttle body arent worth it.. But I'm going with a supercharger in the future. Would a plenum and 75mm throttle body benefit me with a supercharger, enough to warrant an upgrade of the plenum and TB?

I think you should wait until you actually need TB and Plenum.

Upgrade where our cars are weakest: suspension...

Edit: I just read your sig, looks like you got suspension covered :nice:

Man with all those suspension mods what class you run in? Doesn't that put you at a big HP disadvantage? I'd think about a set of st1 cams, and a good tune if it was me.

I think most agree with FI the tb and plenum really shine.

I run in the local events here, I am running the rookie class this year along with B class, we got 4 classes, A-B-C-D. I do it for the fun, I really don't care what class I am in, as long as I can improve on my driving.

And yes I have got a few suspension mods here and there. ;)

All the intake plenums are within 1-3 rwhp of eachother so, you
really can't go wrong with any of them.I would go with the plenum
that you like based on the look you like.I think the Trickflow plenum looks
really cool!
