Ok for a while my car has been making a vacuum sound while running and directly after shut-down (it kinda winds down). I finally had a few moments to work on her and this is what I have found. The sucking sound is coming from the inside front wall of the TB. It seems that there is a by-pass valve where when the TB is closed the air passes through during idle. When I cover this by-pass hole with a finger of course the car starts to stall due to the simualted choking of a lawn mower.
So my question is WHY does this by-pass make such a loud sucking noise? It really sounds loud. Is there a way to fix it? Yes yes I know a new 70-80mm TB would solve it completely, but hehehe its almost Christmas and $$ is tight for the next month.
Any help woulld be appreciated
Ok after reading the shop manual a bit I think I have a bad IAC valve, however the manual shows no direction on replacement. Any help there would be needed. thanks
Thanks
