throttle body question

the stock t/b has a small whole in it for proper idel on the butterfly?
I just bought a 70mm bbk and there is no hole. A while back I heard to drill it in like factory, but I don't really want to do it to a new t/b but will if necessary ill do it. Car has a hairy cam in it and i can't let it idel any worse than it does.

Mine doesn't have a hole (stock) and the 70mm bbk one I bought doesn't have a hole either. I believe the hole is drilled by a person trying to get a "whistle" out... wich is usually caused by the iac clearance.

Dont worry about it. I actually covered my hole up on the stock t/b with jb weld because it was causing a high idle.

It wasn't drilled.when i use to own a 92 ford probe (v-6) i fabricated up my own upper intake off a 96 taurus and used the stock mustang throttle body and it had the hole in it as well.I know for a fact they have them.
but when u putthat bbk on ur stang it as alright?no shaky idle?or anything.?

yeah mine had a hole drilled in it when i pulled it out too. Ive heard you can do that with the new throttle body if it won't hold idle. I havent had any problems with my undrilled bbk 70mm though so far. *crosses fingers*
I would definately leave the butterfly alone till you test it out.
