Throttle Body recommendations for a 94 Cobra?

Ford Racing 65mm TB. The Ford TBs are WORLD's better than any aftermarket unit. BBKs and others have had problems (do a search on the Corral) plus Ford uses a special non-stick coating inside the bore so the blade can be kept shut so the IAC can control idle. The aftermarket companies cannot afford to do the coating so they resort to cracking the blades open a bit to keep them from sticking.

Go on over to turbomustangs.com, there are a number of turbo Mustangs running 8's and 9's with a 65mm TB. It's is PLENTY for your combo. Plus you lose a bit of low end with a too big TB.

Hmmm....well I was just ready to order a 70mm BBK. So in your opinion a 65mm FRPP is better? I have always been partial to FRPP products, but given that everyone here recommended a 70, I was just getting ready to order a BBK.

for a n/a setup a 65mm is very adequate, and even is boosted applications it is still good enough until you really start upping the psi.

like someone said earlier, on a n/a setup like yours a 70mm might be overkill, whereas a 65mm would be right at home

Crap, I hate when there are differences of opinion.

Just go with a 70mm. You're not gonna lose any significant power, and you could be leaving some on the table if you're going with better heads etc. later on with the 65mm. I went from 14.8@95mph to a 14.17@99mph with an intake and 70mm throttle body. Just do it. :nice:
