Throwing codes

My car threw some codes at me today:
P2196 O2 sensor signal stuck rich on bank 1 sensor1
P0153 Oxy Sensor Circ Slow Response (Bank 2 sensor 1)

I don't know if they are the same I got when I first got the headers installed. I didn't write them down then. I'm thinking the car just needs a better tune to accommodate the headers. I'm looking into just picking up the SCT X-Caliber 2 from Brenspeed with a tune for it. As long as my car seems to be running fine, I'm going to go with it. But if told otherwise, I'll park it (as long as I can).

uf, when you clear the codes do they come right back? or do you have to induce them by being hard on the car. If so, just be soft on her until you get the SCT2. Did you make any provisions tune wise when you put on the headers?

These cars are a PITA about throwing codes with LT headers. Mine still throws p0133 or something like that. Brenspeed wasn't successfull at stopping mine nor was a custom dyno tune. Others have similar experiences.

I have also thrown the p2196 as well.

Mine throws 0133 & 0153 if I drive it turn it off for a few like to go in for fuel, start it & then get on it immediatley. If I let it idle for a min. or so no codes just a thought, but they cant tune it out of mine either:shrug:

Does this happen with short headers too or just long tubes?? Maybe you guys should check your O2 extension harnesses if they require them....if you extend wiring there is going to be a greater voltage drop across the longer length....this might be the problem....you should have somebody good with voltages do a test if I'm right then you should all contact manufacturers and have them fix the problem.

My understanding is there are 2 sets in the stock exhaust piping. I got the Steeda MIL eliminators with the package from Brenspeed. But I think that only takes care of the back set near the cats? Does that sound correct? Cause if I'm reading the codes right, those would be sensor 2 and bank 1 and 2 refer to the left and right banks of the car? And it's sensor 1 which is giving me the troubles. I just don't want to do damage to the car you know. That's all I'm concerned about.

As far as I know it's just the LT's. You could have touched on the problem because with the LT's the o2 sensors sit further downstream

Yea I think the MIL eliminators just turn off the rear set which are for emission purposes only. They prevent the rear set from tripping the MIL.

My problem is also bank 1 sensor 1 which is upstream and affects the AFR.

I called Procharger cause mine threw the codes even when I did not have the long tube headers. They told me to get the custom tune and bank 1 refers to the drivers side header because I thought maybe it was just one cylinder. So bank 2 is the passenger side. Maybe it has to do with climate as well, I live in Indiana and I am getting a lean code not rich?

Also, when you guys installed the 02 extensions were they kinda tight? I had to unhook the connectors from the motor and transmission mount to make them work and even then they have a little tension on them??
