tbirds 89 + went to an irs type suspension. whole different animal. If you want 5 lug axles grab two pass side aerostar axles, or two dr side ranger axles with the ranger 9" drums or the aerostar 10" drums and backing plates.
those will work, cobra's didn't get irs until 03/04. I believe they may push your wheels out some. I know the 94/95 v6's and gt rear hardware won't push your wheels out.

Actually 94-98 stuff is the same and will widen your rear width by .75" on each side, when put on a 79-93 car. 99-up is 1.5" wider per side, if I remember correctly, because the axle housing is wider too. 79-98 housing is the same size.
