Mines slipping real bad so its time tp upgrade since I gots mods done to my car now. I wanted to get the Spec Stage 2 clutch, but $300 seems a little steep. Are there any other good clutches out there, or should I just stick with the Spec and try to find the best price I can?

I ain't got no problems with my King Cobra.

I don't think it can be beaten for the price.

I'm not shy about the fact that I do not like spec clutches. For the same amount of money as a spec stage 2, you could have the clutch I have, yet mine is able to be slipped and is holding up in 9 second real street cars. (my clutch is the same many of them run) I got it from Walt at Pro Motion. I always ran the FMS HD clutch before this one and I loved it, but once I stepped up to running on ET streets the clutch could no longer hold a hard launch and would slip something terrible out of the hole. The king cobra is a FMS HD with a little lighter pedal feel.. I never recommend the FMS king cobra since speaking with Don Walsh Sr. who invented it. If you want more info on this, call D&D and ask to speak with Don Sr. directly and ask him his thoughts on the FMS HD versus the king cobra, and I can almost garantee you'll opt for the HD unit. I've suggested this to people before and everyone of them have either PM or emailed me back after speaking with Don and thanking me for saving them a few bucks... the HD is a little cheaper than the King Cobra clutch.

Yeah website would help, I haven't heard of that clutch before. But two of my friends had problems with their Spec clutches a few months ago. My friend had a stage 3 on a 540rwhp Fox, after 500 miles of break in, the clutch welded itself to the pressure plate on his burnout, and it took Spec awhile to warranty it.

I run Walt's "Kustom Clutch" that consist of a blueprinted pressure plate (its the orange one... Walt will know which one it is by the color) and a dual friction disc (metalic on one side, organic on the other). It has a slightly lighter pedal feel than my old HD clutch, and like I said its easily slipped... a lot easier than the spec stage 2's I've driven and the 3's I seen. Pro Motion doesn't currently have a website, but they are woking on one. Here is their contact info though...

I don't have the bill in front of me but to the best of my knowledge it was $310 for the clutch, and approx $420 TOTAL for the clutch, cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster SHIPPED. I'm going off of memory here, but if I find my bill I'll let you know.
