i just put in a new timing adjuster on my 02 GT and it is causing my cylinders to misfire but it is only at 13 degrees. Why is this happining at that degree? What should i put it at? :(

When i had the Steeda T/A,i was able to run it as high as 18 degrees without a problem. You should be able to at least run it at 14 degrees Max.
But i was told that they aren't that accurate in the first place,so after playing around with mine :bang: ,i ditched it for a custom tuned superchip. :D
So now my fuel, timing, speedo, and putting my traction control on issues :nonono: are all gone. :nice:

And that was resetting the computer everytime, and using sunoco 94 octane.

Do what the other guys said, make sure using higher octane gas and make sure you reset the computer by disconnect/reconnecting the battery. Also, check the gap between the pickup and the T/A. I had problems when I installed mine. First it was too close and then it was too far. I shimmed it and now it's working like it's supposed to.

Whoa, 18 deg? What octane were you running? I'm running 91 and I'm amazed I'm not getting any pinging with 15.

Sunoco 94 octane, but she still should have pinged. This is why i got a feeling that these things are not accurate in the first place  .
When we did a custom tuned superchip,my buddy advanced the timing ,which i believe was 15/16 degrees, and she started to rattle like a diesel from hell under load, then he backed of a degree, and everything is now find, and pulls hard throughout the rpm's.So that leads me to believe that these t/a's are not that accurate, which was explained to me by a mechanic that has delt with this before.
Some people might not have issues, but i did.It was alright for awhile, but varied from one minute to another, from one day to the next, especially after the engine got warm :nonono: .
I'm not trying to cause an arguement,i just had a bad expirience with it. :(
