what should I expect out of 14*? Would that be fine on 91 Octane? How is this done, turning the distributor? I lost my code book, what are codes 82 and 95, how do i fix them. I would appreciate any help.

91 octane is fine w/ 14* and you should feel a little more over stock 10* if thats where it was.

chalk the timing marks, start the car, remove the SPOUT connector, set the timing, re-plug the SPOUT and your good to go.

you know you need a timing light right? but yes..loosen the 1/2" bolt on the dist (sears sells a dist. wrench for $8.95 and it's worth it's weight in gold. makes it real ez) and turn it...shoot the marks w/ the light and make sure your on plug #1 w/out any feedback coming fron close wires..separate them a little

there are differing opinions on the timing stuff. i will (personally) advance till i would need higher octane gas, but not go further or run higher octane gas. it ends up being a wash with the higher advance but lesser volatility of the high octane, IMHO.

IIRC, code 95 means the FP lost power for a time (can be real quick). give the wiring and relay a once over for the FP.

the other code is a smog code, *i think*. i cant remember for sure.

good luck.
