wusup everyone. well lets see i have to change my timing chain cover because it is cracked, so i bought one from thuls. the guy looked up the part number in the book n everything seemed fine until i compared it to the old timing chain cover. the new one has this hole on the right side of it it looks like something bolts on to it but the old one doesnt have it. besides that everything seems to line up pretty good. is this hole supposed to be there? its a pretty big hole like the size of one of the header holes n it looks as if one of the headers would bolt on it but it really wouldnt cuz its on the cover but that wat it looks like. pllease help guys
thanx

is it on the side close to the oil filter with two bolt holes on each side of a big hole. if so then that is where a mechanical fuel pump would go and you need to buy or make a block off plate for 15 dollars. i have one. it said it worked for chevy SB and some BB's but it bolted up fine on my 302. the guy looked up the number
