I'm outside installing the timing chain that came with my Trick Flow H/C/I kit. It's part number 78520T whcih I believe is a Dynaroll billet set.

In the kit it states that the bronze bearing that is included with the set requires that you countersink the thrustplate bolt holts so that the supplied screws will sit slightly below the service of the thrust plate.

I compared the old timing set to the new timing set and it appears that I have to use the bronze bearing and make these modifications. The thing is, every person I had talked to about doing this install had never mentioned having to do this, so I'm questioning if I really have to use the bronze bearing or not?
