Timing Cover And Waterpump Gaskets

should I change my timing cover gasket while replacing my water pump?

I would say yes.
Now that is dependent upon how many miles the car has or if there has been any work done in that area recently, the timing chains hold up pretty good in these engines but I would pull the cover and check it anyway.
A note concerning the bolts you will be dealing with, they are notorious for breaking off, this is caused from corrosion build up when aluminum is bolted to steel with steel bolts and water circulating through it so take your time and loosen/tighten back and forth to keep the bolts from breaking then when you reassemble use lots of antiseize and replace any bolts that are pitted or otherwise suspect.
I have a small leak at the timing cover to block surface because I didn't replace the gasket.

why would you pull the timing cover off to change the water pump? Is it leaking now or do you see corrosiion in the top corners? If it aint broke don't fix it.
