Timing Cover Gasket

I have a small leak coming out of the top portion of my timing cover which then drips and pools in the valley in between bolt holes. My question is is there any thing I can put on the spot where it leaks to stop it without replacing the gasket for the 3rd time? After the 2nd replacement there appears to be nothing wrong with the area on the cover or block so why won't this thing seal?

Could also be the end gasket under the intake mainfold as well. Actually it's most likely that. Gotta pull the intake & replace the gaskets to fix it.

This is why I would rather use ATF as opposed to the end gaskets supplied. The liquid stuff allows you to get a good coating between the heads, block and intake.

It really pisses me off to have a leak of any kind after an engine build or rebuild.
