i need to replace my timing cover because it is cracked. my qeustion is does it matter if the cover is for a 79-93 or are all the covers the same? in all the catalogs there are none for 94-95 5.0's.

That's because these idiot companies are too damn lazy to make one for our car. the answer is NO, it will not work. 94/95 timing covers have different water pump offset than 79-93 cars.

Probably have to pick one up used on one of the forum classifieds, Ebay or...do I dare say.. MPS...

I have an extra if you can't seem to find one..

50resto has one for $300+ I thought my timing cover was leaking and was going to buy a new one but it just turned out to be the waterpump. If im not sure if a part fits i go to summitracing.com, find the part and then click the link that checks the application. Just one way to be certain before buying.

Look up Mo Dingo's last thread started. He posted info on a Dorman cover that needed slight reworking and then someone else said CHP (IIRC) sells new 94-95 covers for 80 bucks or so (I think I got that right).

Good luck.

EDIT: I dug up the thread:

hmmm. well i think that i am going to look around online today at work and see what i can dig up through junkyards. if i cant find anything than i will just go from there, but i can tell you that 300 is nuts. and although 95 is a good price i am looking for a direct fit, dont really feel like paying for something and then making it fit, you know?
