i get the car timed to 14 degrees and tighten it down recheck it, still at 14 and then i put the spout connector in and it jumps the time about 10 to 12 degrees. do any of you know whats causing this.

as a wise man once said, set it and forget it!. hmmm maybe that was for some countertop rotissiery, but i think it still applies. with the spout in you are supposed get show higher timing than when you set it when it is out. pooter changes it

I wouldn't say to forget about it. You need to listen for pinging and if any is heard, retard the timing slightly.
