Timing keeps resetting

I recently bought a timing light and checked my timiing after the car warmed up. It showed 20 degrees. I then followed these instructions Checking, Setting and Bumping up your Mustang's Timing. I set the timing at 10 degrees with the spout out. What happens is when I tighten and connect back the spout and check the timing it seems to go back to 20 degees. Am I doing something wrong here? Also does someone know the size of the tee fitting so I can connect a oil pressure gauge and keep my stock one.

The SPOUT connector allows the EEC to advance the timing, and it going up about 10* is normal.

It's a crude example, but if you had set it to 15* with the SPOUT removed, it would be about 25* when you reinstalled the SPOUT.

The stock oil sender is 1/4" NPT. Most aftermarket senders are 1/8" NPT so you'll have to adapt accordingly.

Good luck.
