You guys have been tons of help whenever I have a question and I can usually get answers doing a search without having to post my questions.
My latest issue is, I bought an Edelbrock timing chain cover (my stock cover cracked up when I took the old water pump off, the water pump bolts were fused to it). I can't seem to find a timing pointer that will work with that cover on a 65 289. The bolt holes don't line up with the Ford Racing one that Summit sells. I haven't had luck getting through to Edelbrocks' tech line so I'm hoping someone on here has some advice for me. Edelbrock does list a Ford part number for the correct pointer (C5ZZ-6029-A) on the install sheet but I cannot find anyone that has one.

The stock pointer was cast into the old cover. The Ford Racing unit is for a drivers side inlet waterpump, it doesn't fit the old style cover. You'll either have to locate the correct pointer or make one.
