ummm, if that means what I think it means, then ummm, yes. (basically, the timing is mechanical for 95- years, and the computer doesn't controll it until 96+ years) therefore, if the computer gets reset, the timing stays the same...

ok, first of all, it's spelled ya'll... second, no, I haven't heard of a stator (i might have, but I don't think so...)

-anyway, I really don't think if the computer gets reset, it would mess up your timing, even w/ the tfi module...

If you turn the distributor with the spout connected, i dont think u would get a true reading of your base timing. That is because the computer will be changing the timing as the load of the engine changes.

I remember when i checked my timing with the spout connected, the timing marks would jjust "dance around" the timing pointer and they would not be consistent.

SO all in all, i just think that u wouldn't know your base timing and this wont change just because u reset the computer. It will still be the same...
