i am not sure how but i think my timing marker pointer thing whatever you call it is gone. is that the only place you can shine the light. after doing my intake swap i brought it to the mechanic to set the timing because 1, i did not have a timing light, 2, the car was way down on power so i knew the timing was off, 3, i am trying to learn how to use the timing i just bought. is there any place else to shine the light?

Try pointing it from just to the left of your upper radiator hose down toward the balancer. YOu might have to pull the hose over just a little. You will find it.

i will go look again but i dont think the pointer thing is there. are you saying to move the hose to see if the pointer is there? i was even under the car before and did not see it. can you just shine the light on the balancer?
