I was wondering what direction a 1990 mustang 5.0 distrubotor turns, counder clock wise or clock wise?? i was going to advance the timing a few dagrees. What direction would i need to turn the distrubitor to advance or retard the timing?? thanks :D

i beielev rotation is counter clockwise so to advance you rotate clockwise. Remember to have spout connector out when you do this and a timing gun. It is also a good idea to mark the lines on your balancer again so you can see them.

i could have sworn it was the other way around? HELL i dont know anymore i have been messing the distributor so much lately i dont know it from my ass! Either way, if you wanna know for sure just take the cap off bump the starter selonoid and look at which way the rotor turns.....turn it opposite of that to advance it

lol I think i know why your car is going slower then before.

MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your not going to believe this but i was thinking the same thing......nah i couldnt have been that stupid! I usually always double check it:bang:

I sure hope so. I'm just raggin on you man. I want your car to hit 10's so i have something to shoot for. I guess right now i'm shooting for 11.18@123. hehe. I hope i can get there but i doubt it since my MPH is 7mph slower.
