Try the idle launches. That is where I got my best 60's.

Do your burnout by heal/toeing the brake/gas. Meaning put your heel on the brake and toe the gas. Hold pressure on the brake while giving it gas and turn the tires over for about 3-4 seconds...just long enough to clean them off.

For the launch you can slip the clutch just a bit. About half pressure to get the car rolling then let off smoothly and hit the gas. You'll probably spin bit the first run or two but you will get better with practice.

If it is a test and tune don't worry about the other guy unless it is a friendly race. Otherwise just concentrate on the launch and don't worry about the green light. The reaction time won't affect your quarter ET.

I dropped the pressure in my street tires to 25 lbs. Just make sure you add air back. Most tracks have a compressor so you can refill before you leave.

Since you are basically stock, shift at about 5000 RPM's. Any higher and you will lose speed. May even try about 4700. You can try speed shifting (shifting without letting off the gas) but it is hard on the tranny and if you miss you bounce the rev limiter...of break a shift fork. I usually just speed shift from 3rd-4th but you will probably be able to finish the quarter in 3rd. I don't know for sure since I've had only 4.10's in mine since my 1st trip to the track.

Above all...just have fun...if you mess up just laugh it off. It's all about a good time and hanging out with other gear heads.
