Hey guys\gals,

I'm getting ready to buy some Nitto NT555r's for my 89gt. I have 17x8 on the front and 17x9 on the rear. Right now i have 235\45 on the front and 245\45 on the rear. I want a wider tire and something that will have more of a flat sidewall. My current tires sort of smooth out on the edges, almost like they're too small for the rims. I'm thinking about a 275\45 on the rear and a 245\45 on the front. Will this look right? What are you all running? I also want to lower the car 7\8" in the front and 1\2" in the rear, but that will be a winter project. Any advice on tires would be appreciated. thanks,

mobi

245/45 on the front should be fine, and a 275/40 on the back should work as well!

thnx

thanks 25th....do you think these sizes will look ok\better? i want a more "meaty" look, not with the curved-in side walls at the top of the rim and tire. I want it to come straight up. When I lower it this winter those sizes shouldnt pose any problems should they?

The fronts should sit perfect the rears also should be real close to "square". Rubbing will depend on what wheels and offset, and how low. Many guys (me included) ran these tires without rubbing (or rubbing on anything but the lower fromt A arms).
