for people that run say nitto DR's in the back on a 10.5 315/35/17's and 17x9's what tires do you use for the front?

basically im asking do you guys run the same tire all around or use differnt tires for the front (to save money) or does it matter?

smaller up front
245-45 or 255-45 on a 9 inch rim

less rotational mass
less weight

less e.t.

its always good to keep tread patterns the same when you can.

if you run too wide a tire up front the car wont track right... you'll catch every rut or other imperfection in the road.

Thanks exactly what i was looking for...

so if i run nittos in the back its should run them in the front also?

should i get 245/45/17's or 275/40/17's

i dont know that much about "tracking" what does that mean?

that would be a perfect size combination...245/45s up front and 275/40s out back. i used to have BFG KDs in those sizes and my car handled like a banshee. as for running Nittos front and back, well, as long as the pattern is the same... i say go for it.

if you run too wide a tire the car will be all over the road.. ie., it wont track straight... it will dart all over.
