Hi guys, I'm kind of new to the whole Mustang community, so there may be a few dumb questions incoming.

I recently bought a 1996 v6 Mustang, and I'm looking to do a few cosmetic upgrades for it, then possibly a few power adders. First on my list is getting rid of the horrendous stock rims. I'm thinking Chrome 1995 Style Cobra R Wheel 94-04 (17x10.5) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!. I've told a few people about this, and one of the responses that I've got is that the stock Mustang sits comparatively low and I may run into some scrubbing? I'd wrap those rims with Nitto 315/35-17's, any input on this?
Thanks in advance

They should fit just fine, on the rear. You may have to flip your quad shocks (or remove them - not sure if the V6 cars have quad shocks?), for clearance, but otherwise they should go right on. 315's are probably the widest tire you can fit in the rear, but they should tuck under there nicely.

no question is a dumb question!

thats a good choice. as for tire sides-

up front, a 255/40 would fit perfectly. a 275 will work as well, but you would rub a bit at full lock.

in the rear, the 315's will sit perfectly. Are you at stock ride height? unless you are dropped 1.5"+, you shouldnt have a problem with the fender. the only possible problem is if the exhaust isnt sitting right, it may rub. but this is an easy fix of repositioning the pipe, as they shouldnt rub in the first place.

you also shouldnt have to worry about the quad shocks, since unless youve swapped in an 8.8 you will not ahve them.

good luck withy our new wheels, they should look great!

Wanted to say thank you guys for your awesome responses and all the help I've gotten thus far. I ordered a set of those rims earlier this afternoon and, I am going to run 315's in the back, with the front wrapped in 255's.

Again, thanks so much guys.

As long as you drop the car with some good lowering springs after increasing rim size, youll be absolutely fine. Should look awesome!
