tire size question

could I put 225 /75 /17's or will it throw it way off

On a 17 inch rim, mount something more manily.

255/45/17 atleast.

I guess you meant 225/45/17. If not, why would you want a tire like that?
BTW, what do you have on it now?

The wider the tire, the more tire on the ground?

I have 275's in the rear, and 245's up front. But on 17 inch wheels.

no I mean 225/75/17 225/45 are low profile and don't look right on the car to much wheel well showing, mustangs in my opion call for beffy tires in the rear

there are 215/65/16 on there now but on the 17 rims I got there I have 215/45/17 there to small for the car, to much well showing

I don't know if they will throw the car off, but you do realize that going 75 in profile is gonna raise your car

Of course changing the tire circumference will throw the speedo off. The way to fill the wheels wells is to lower the car. Get the widest tires that fit your rim (you still havent tols us the dimensions of your rims), with a diameter/circumference close to stock. You can correct the speedo with a chip if you really want....?
