OK...i really need some information here, i'm having a hard time with my wheel/tire combo (i'm tired of trial and error) so here goes.....

IF you have a 96+ with ABS and are running any type of 15" wheel (i'm running a 15x10 weld prostar w/ 6.5bs) and are not having any type of ABS issues (i.e. the ABS light) what type of tire are you running on it as a daily driver and at the track?

i want to find out how big i can go without the ABS sensor tripping.

thank you for your participation!!!!
Gus

are you running 15" front and back? if the wheel diameters are not matched it will trip the ABS light. If you are running 15" at all 4 corners, then I dunno!

if you run a 26 inch slick in the back, a 225/60/15 will match up almost perfectly in the front. Otherwise i would probably run a 235/60/15 and a 275/50/15. That would give you two overall diameters of 26.1 inches which is a little higher than stock, so it may throw your speedo off 1 or 2 mph if that. But it will keep your abs functioning properly. You could go to an even wider tire out back, but just check the specs on tire rack to make sure your front and back are the same overall diameter.

15x10 in back with M/T ET Stree Radials in 275/50/15
15x3.5 in front with a Kumho 165/80/15 (tirerack $24)

This is my Street and Strip combo. Best part is I get NO ABS LIGHT WITH THIS SIZE
Not even once.

What is this ABS you speak of.
But yes you need to match the height also if there is a big difference in weight it can throw it. I have a freind when she has her torque thrust wheels on (big's and Lil's) it throws her ABS light and tires are about the same heigth ( within 1/2" at the worse).
As for me don't have that problem. No stinking ABS.

ABS prevents you from sliding into a wreck, it allows you to steer away from it..
