i ran a 14.50 at 96 mph with my 88 lx and it has stock P225/60VR15 Goodyear Gatorbacks very low on threads ... i feel i could have gotten more about a 14.4 but i dont believe it could have gotten it any lower.. but i ran out of runs anyway..but gettin traction was the issue...ppl say with a trap speed like that i can get a 14.2's and i should be gettin lower then 14.5 then, i dont know if he meant power shifting but i dont do that....with a 2.080 60 foot to me that aint bad ....Right

will changing to z rated tires help with better hook...im just wonderin...i thought z rated tires would be harder since they can handle more speed...any thoughts

As a suggestion, you should buy a set of drag radials for the track. There street legal and made to hook. If you are doing a lot of racing they will last longer than street tires. Get a set rims and just switch them before you head out to race.

z rated tires have softer rubber which means more traction. but i agree with top get a set of drag radials on another set of rims.
