Tires and rims

Hey everybody .. well i will be picking up my cobra this weekend and i already know what rims i am getting i just dont know the size im gonna go with. I am getting black bullit's and i would LOVE deep dishes in the back butt i just dont like 315's. Not a fan at all of them, they are too big. So how would a 275/40 look on a 17x10.5? The fronts will be 245/45/17 on 17x9's. (i would love to keep a 245 in the front and a 275 in the back just because of how well they match up). I am also considering going with an 18x10 in the back and a 17x9 in the front. But i have never actaully seen that combo on a car. If anyone has anypictures att all i would really appriciate it! I run 275's all the way around on 17x9 wheels. The reason...... Ive never
seen any tires that wear perfectly on the front. Rotation will make your
tires last twice as long. I rotate at the first sign of cupping on the front.
put the fronts on the back and they will flatten back out. Unless you dont
mind trashing your front tires every 10k, its the way to go.

You really dont want to put 275s on the front. That is a wide tire for the front and you will probably increase the bump steer issue that mustangs have.

I run a 245 in the front and a 275 in the back on 18x9 and 18x9.5 rims.

Thats what I used to think.... But they actually feel really good.

275's on a 10.5 inch wide rim will look like total ass

hmm .. i knew thats what someone was gonna say .. 10.5's are the only deep dish bullets make thought right? besides 18x10 .. and i really just dont want a 315. Does anyone have pictures of a 275 on a 10.5? And dont some tires run a little wider anyways? like arent nitto 275's pretty small? or is that all just nonsence?

Dude, get 17x9 all around, 255s, and then get yourself a set of 1" hubcentric spacers for the rears from a reputable brand, and you're set. You get the wider rear stance, non-steamroller tires, and you can still rotate tires.

Personally I'm going 18x9 fronts with 18x10 rears with the widest tire I can fit on 'em without sacrificing cornering ability (I love twisties!!). I love the look of big beefy tires under a Mustang, it just says that thing is gonna kick some serious ass.

I would get 17 x 8, 245/45/17 on the front and 17x9 275/40/17 in the back. Thats what I will be getting in the spring.

Thats the exact combo i wanted to go with buttt i still want deep dish in the back .. so now i am thinking .. 18x9's in the front with a 265/40/18 and 18x10 DD in the back with 295/35/18 .. does anyone have a combo like this?? Anyy clearence issues at all? i really dont want ANY rubbin in the front. The car will be lowered with an Eibach sportline kit also. Oh yea.. does anyone have pictures of 18's on an sn95??

My thinking is the bigger the rims, the heaver they are, the slower you will go.

Ha, I'm running 285's on 18x9.5 all the way around. Second set of nitto's I've had on the car, put 65k on the first set. Love the way it looks, rides and handles. Not a single issue with the setup.
