i was wondering if yall know a good tire for a 02 gt ive had 2 sets of the stock goodyear eagle zr and i dont think them at all. ive heard nitto makes really good tire and the yokohoma AVS 1000 is a good to.

Id get the Nitto DR's, those are some awesome tires. I just got them mounted on my car and I love them. I dont spin at all off the line even with my 4.10's. And on my shifts instead of chirping, the wheels stay stuck to the ground and my car jumps forward. Nittos all the way.

drag radials are good but i like the Nitto 555's. They are more of a high performance street tire than something you take to the track, but they are top of the line in my book

Nitto 555's are on my list when I get the 18X9 and 18X10 BC Smoothie II's for my 02. By the end of the year...I cannot wait!

Hey sorry if im taking over this post but, you guys running Nitto DR, do you just have 2 drag radials in the rear and you put regular 555's in the front?? Because i need new tires too and 4 drag radials doesnt seem right. thanks

That’s good news. I am getting Nitto 555R 245/45/17 drag radials on the rear this weekend. I can now spin all through first gear, which looks cool but is unproductive for performance.

NEVER put DRs on the front!!! you are correct, NT555s in the front, NT555R in the rear

Just put drag radials on the rear so you won't be adding unneeded rolling resistance on the front.

i think it all depends on what you are going to be doing with the car.

if you are like me DR's are a waste because i don't go to the track. if your car is an everyday street car you are going to be in the market than these folks are suggesting.

for my everyday cruising pleasure i have Toyo Proxies (Fz4's) and i like them a lot.

the best overall tire i found because it was the cheapst i ain't sure about codes on the tire but the name is nankang the hook really well have good life and are pretty quite tire
