Tires

I have to buy a new set of tires this summer. I have been pretty well decided on the Toyo Proxes T1-S, until I saw an STi in the parking lot at VT the other day with some pretty wild lookin tires. They were Falken Azenis RT-615. They have one of the most unique tread designs I have seen, but I cant tell if they are for only dry roads or what. anyway, here is the link to them. I was wondering what you guys say...Toyo Proxes T1-S or Falken Azenis RT-615? It's only $10 more per tire for the Falkens, so the price doesn't really help me decide.

No offense but that is bull**** for the price... Personally I would have gone with a less agressive tire like the nitto 555. (not the drag radials). I believe you save alot of $$$ going with those.

My friend has those on his 03 GT and they are above average at best, in my opinion. He went to a set of Pirelli's in the same size and had much better traction.

i'm partial to the proxes t1-s, that is what i have and i like them alot. mine were $200+ tho, probably because they are for 18" rims ...

I will probably go with the Toyos then. I couldn't really find any opinions or ratings on the tires, thats why I asked here. I just noticed the treadwear on the Falkens is only 200, that's a bit low for my needs, I believe the Toyo's are like 260 or 280.

That's pry the smart move. I've never heard of anyone disappointed with the Toyos.
