WOW I finally threw the shifter on the car and Holy Guacamole Stangman It hard to move through the gears. I haven't started the car yet and it still has its hurst shifter it came with but its hard even to shake neutral.

Can anybody tell me what their shifter feels like?

My TKO-600 shifter felt and sometimes feels just like yours now. When I drive my car though its another story, a lot smoother. Make sure you only use the GM Synchromesh fluid for it.

TKO's are notorious for a long break in period. Expect 1000-1500 miles before it gets better. It will still be notchier than a T5.

Check your clutch and adjust accordingly, you may have to do this a couple times during the break in. Be careful when shifting fast as the 3 to 4 shift has occasionally become a 3-2 shift, which is no good at 6000 RPMs. If your pinion angle is off just a little bit, it will begin to whine.

I was told by Pro-Motion Performance to only use GM Synchromesh due to the specific internals. I personally would not try anything else.
