Mcleod Steel housings do not need indexed. Lakewood and others do.

That is not true. ALL SFI bellhousings should be indexed. It's dumb not to index them. Why run the risk?

Of course it's always good to make sure, but Mcleods are indexed at the factory. That's what the sticker on them is for. I talked to a tech at Mcleod and he said as long as your crank centerline is not altered in any way, they don't need indexed. It can never hurt to double check though.
