Alright guys i just installed a TKO600 in the stang and have noticed that when the car is in 5th gear, the shifter is really noisy. It has an MGW shifter in it which i thought were supposed to be quiet. Anybody have this tranny that is also noisy in fifth? It driving me nuts.
i have a tk600 also that i just put in. I noticed the same thing. I run a steeda shifter so its prob the gear box. I Love the gear box but the 5th gear thing is a lil annoying its not obnoxious though.
I have a 3550 and it whines a lot. After a few thousand miles it did get quieter. Run a stock style rubber isolator over the shifter hole and it'll drown it out some.
i have a tko 600 and i havent a clue what u 2 are talkin about. WHat 5th gear ratio you guys got? I never took the tremec shifter tht came with mine off. seems to be sealed with a rtv sealant too. maybe you guys dont have your shifters sealed to good or something
