Tko600 hitting top of tunnel on 89 mustang

I'm trying to drop my new 347 in my 89 mustang and ran into some issues with my tko600 hitting the top of the trans tunnel. I'm running urethane motor mounts and it's a 1990 block. It looks like I can trim a small section out of the tunnel and it will let the transmission come up 5/8" which is what I need. Has anyone done this before? Is there any other way to fix this issue?
