The track was crap, I tried 2 run with 24lbs of boost, went up in smoke, then turned boost down to 8lbs just to make a full pass, was able to manage a 11.10 at 120 pedaling about 6 times!!!! I wish i was able to talk to more people from stangnet, bout the way the track was run, everyone was in the lanes most of the day. Tyler it was nice meeting you. I won't be out for a month or so, I wan't to wait for warmer weather and a better track.

It is cold at the track just standing there watching the races. I only stay until around noon, there is too much car/truck breaking down and wasted too much time. There was only couples of peoples from Stangnet I know and everyone else is too busy racing or out of their car. Was that someone here that went sideways a little on launch. Sound like a Turbo car...

Due to my mechanical problems, I could not talk to as many as I wanted. I spent too much time taking valve covers off and extracting bent pushrods. Managed to limp home though.

I was there. I had my Red 1990 Gt 5.0 out there. It was packed. Tons of stangs out there! 2bFeard's 93 Cobra is Serious. Clean as hell and OMG Fast.

I managed the same times as usual 14.6@97 MPH

Well since my car is down, I was half tempted to take the wifes 2000 Lightning there, but decided against it. That and I had a list of Honeydoo's to complete on the sunny day.

Was it a black 90 lx coupe with a white hood? That was my wife, Jade. We had it turned down as low as it would go (10 psi). The track was way too cold for any power, it would light em up once it came into boost. It was good practice for her to learn to actually drive the car for a change. That was her first couple of times where it actually got out of shape on her and she had to get out of it. It's always been a point it and go car.
And now for the "06"... I was stoked to get it in the 13's. First run a 13.91 @ 99 leaving it in drive and only taking the spare out. Second run a 13.83 @ 99. Not bad considering my speed density 87 mustang ran a best of 14.8 completly stock with a 5 speed. Over a second faster and heavier to boot... SWEET

Doh!

Was wondering where you went.

Was great to see everyone again, and get some practice on the lights. My best was a .064 and every run was plagued with problems. My 4th gear went out again and continued to grind each run. I'd basically get up to 3rd gear and coast the rest of the way.

Was there before 8am, and only ran 4 times until about 4pm when we decided to leave.

The street legal lines were coming around almost to the gate from the parking lot. Lots of interesting cars to walk through the lines and check out and familar faces to catch up with to kill the time.

2bfeard, my friend got a few shots of your car at the line with my camera, I'll upload them when I get my memory card back over here. I also have a shot of John (Stock50LX) staged but he didn't center / zoom it well.

There were a ton of 05 / 06 GT's out there this weekend. Should have know you were one, I would have stopped by to say hello! I was talking to the guy with the Black GT "Bu Bye" with Nitrous for a bit though.

I wasn't centered the entire day; and the nut behing the wheel was loose all day, too. I'll try to tighten it down next time.

Wow, lots of responses. Well it sounds like I didnt miss much as far as the track goes. But it does seem like it would have been a good day to meet and talk to people. Thanks guys, I almost feel like I was there.

The Chevy guys posted a lot of personal best times. The conditions were pretty good once the track warmed in the direct sunlight. Considering the early date, it was as good as it gets.

PR is not charging for a racecard until March. That saves everyone $10. -an unnecessary expense if you just come to the early races. It also means an absence of additional lines at the beginning of the season. Eveyone raced with a temporary number. The turnout was substantial and late arriving.

There was one with you burning out but it was out of screen. I guess he was holding a video camera and trying to take pictures at the same time. Perhaps that means I can find a video ... if I get a hold of it I'll upload as well.
