Take a look at this auction and tell me what you think......Buy it now for $6,000 A Real 01 SCe'd Coupe with a SHM short block???? Am I missing something here?? Salvaged? Stolen? Can't get passed CA emissions?? I might have to call....crapola

It looks like a legit auction. All the correct Saleen badges and parts. Somewhere in Cali.........Can anyone else spread some light on the subject??

My guess is it is a scam.

Run the plate, it is a CA tag: 4TJC857

"CUSTOMIZED COMPUTER FROM CHICANE AND FORD ENGINEERS"

Call Joe and see if he knows the car.

I dunno, maybe it's one of those scorned housewives selling their husbands toy.

BIN 6,000 and free shipping? That could land up being like a 4500 dollar car.

It's the 29 feedbacks, 100% positive that really makes me wonder. But problem is non of the items he sold are new enough to see what they were.

It's a scam...

Some of the tipoffs:
* a ridiculous price
* a car that was recently listed
* "FREE" shipping
* an email address that you need to contact before bidding

Don't be fooled by the feedback - they stolen someone else's account.

Don't believe me? Contact the email address listed. I bet you get some sob story about the car being in Europe, possibly a dead brother, and a relative who works for a freight company and can ship the car anywhere in the world free. Oh yeah, they'll also ask for a 50% deposit via Western Union... WU is untracable.

This scam MUST be profitable - they've been running it for over a year with all kinds of specialty cars, parts, and motorcycles. amnit:

Yep, this auction is a major scam. I recognized the vehicle from another auction that ended about a week (or so) ago.

As others have said, the price is a dead give away that it's illegitimate.

I think it's legit. I just checked and he's a nice Nigerian guy in Amsterdam who needs to sell one of his dead brother in laws cars quick so he can pay for his brain transplant.
