To much compression with stock heads

I have some KB .200 dome top pistons. I calculated it out to be about 10.4:1 compression with stock heads on my motor. my friend he thinks its goin to be to much compression for stock heads. I dont think so but he seems to. Why would he think this. Is it true? Does iron have anything to do with more detonation? Thanks

There are tons of cars that have more compression than that with iron heads. You just need to run good gas.
