So, I just finished installing a completely new fuel system this weekend, now the car is running SUPER RICH. Easy fix, get the diablosport chip reburned? Maybe. Does anybody run any Programmable Management Systems or have a tuner module? The computer is a 1998, so most of the handhelds are out of the question.

Is it worth the $1000+ cost for the PMS or is reprogramming the chip a viable option? I'm running a 2003 2v with ported PI heads, forged internals and 18cc dishtop pistons, P-1SCH intercooled at about 13 lbs, complete aeromotive fuel system with 47 lb injectors, 8-AN fuel supply 6-AN return, and assorted other bolt-on goodies.

By the way, those Aeromotive rails look MEAN.

Based on the investment it looks like you've made so far, I don't know if I'd mess with mail order on a blown GT. For a few hundred bucks you can get it dialed in - maybe drive up to T & J? Probably a haul, but I think I'd want to put that kind of investment in the hands of a professional.

The other option is to study, study, study... the ins and outs of the PCM and take a chance tuning it yourself. One thing I've learned in studying the PCM is that for every action there is a reaction - you have a lot of look-up tables basing the data set they use on another look-up table.

Maybe explore the SCT Racer Package and have the baseline burn done by the guys at SCT?

Theres a place in Orlando that has a MustangDyno and they burn the diablochips on the spot. It's a pretty good deal, but I'm liking the idea of changing the program without driving or trailering 60 miles everytime I change something...

Go to Tweecer.com you can programmer your own car off a lab top driving on the street. Its about $500-800 dollars. That is what i'm gettin for my car.

Thanks, I'll check it out

Whats up with all that line why not just cut it?
That was taken before I ran the line to the tank. :)

Bro, if I had a good tuner within 60 miles of me I'd PUSH my car if I had to.... anyway, it sounds like the Diablo dealer you're looking at working with has the new revolution software, which they can make changes to on the spot. If that's the case, and they're good with it, cool!

joke

but.....why not get a 99+ computer, since the 96-98 computers are so slow. take it up to t&j & let them have at it. i know that's what i would do in a heartbeat. instead of messing with the pms system, but that could be because i'm lazy :p
