what kind of sound do you want?

LMI= loud as hell, wake up the dead, nascar type sound with some rasp.

LMII=still very loud, bit more rumble and little less rasp than LMI

i have 3 vids in my sig of the SLP LMI w/ SLP catted X.

and here's a link a guy just posted of the LMII with the stock h-pipe.

then you want the LMI. rasp is kinda the opposite of rumble. its more high-pitched than your classic muscle car sound. when i rev mine it sounds like the gates of hell exploding open. if, after you get the LMI, you decide its not for you, too loud or whatever, you can always do what im doing, which is buy the LMII ceramic cored resonators to change the sound. it will still be loud, just not as raspy as the LMI. i think either one is a great choice.

ooohh, i dont know about cali. i'd talk to somebody from there and find out, but ive heard they're strict as hell. there are a bunch of guys from cali around here, just find someone and ask, im sure they'll help you out

as far as how much louder it gets, well i had just the cat-back for a while, and i thought that was loud. after i installed the x-pipe, OMG, it really woke up. a mid-pipe makes a huge difference

Get straight pipes like your truly and save the money.

Google, you will probably find what requirements you need to pass smog. I know in maryland they just plug into your OBD II.
